Apparatus & Maintenance

Division Chief – Scott Glew

The Apparatus and Maintenance Davison consists of a Division Chief, an assistant Division Chief, Mechanics, Emergency Equipment Technicians, an Emergency Facilities Technician, and Supply and Equipment Officers.

As well as being licensed truck and diesel mechanics, all division personnel are certified in many other areas of technical expertise. This is necessary due to the ever more complex and sophisticated equipment used in today's modern fire service.

Duties include performing maintenance on all vehicles and stations, snow plowing, yearly function tests, tool maintenance, vehicle painting and body work, delivering and maintaining equipment at fire scenes, fire pump testing, aerial ladder and hose testing and repair, preparing tenders for new vehicles and equipment, maintaining fuel and mileage statistics and maintaining station costs.
