Earth Hour is a global initiative, organized by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF), that brings the world together and shines a spotlight on the environmental issues affecting our planet such as climate change and nature loss.
The campaign encourages everyone to take action by turning off their lights and non-essential devices and giving an hour for earth. This Earth Hour, spend 60 minutes doing something positive for our planet.
Earth Hour takes place on
Saturday, March 28, from

Energy Saving Tips
- Adjust your thermostat by 1 to 2 degrees lower in the winter and 1 to 2 degrees higher in the summer (if your home has AC) to reduce heating and cooling energy use.
- Close blinds or curtains on warm days to keep heat out and open them on cold days to let in natural warmth.
- Keep vents and radiators clean and unobstructed to maintain optimal airflow and performance.
- Unplug electronics when they're not in use to avoid unnecessary standby power consumption.
- Turn off lights in rooms you're not using to save electricity.
- Enable energy-saving mode on smart devices such as TVs to reduce overall energy use.
A simple and effective way to reduce your energy use is to understand how much energy your household consumes and what factors influence it. Reviewing your utility bills regularly helps you spot patterns in your energy habits and see which energy-saving actions are making a difference.
