​​BRAMPTON, ON – Good Friday will be observed on Friday, April 3 this year, followed by Easter Monday on Monday, April 6. Most City of Brampton administrative offices, including City Hall, will be closed during this time.

Essential services will remain available to the community. Fire and Emergency Services, Traffic Services, Enforcement and By-law Services, Road Operations and Security Services will continue operating throughout the holiday period. ​

Service Brampton

Residents can reach Service Brampton for City of Brampton and Region of Peel inquiries through the Brampton 311 app (available on the App Store and Google Play), by visiting 311brampton.ca or by calling 3-1-1 or 905.874.2000 (outside Brampton). Service Brampton operates 24/7, with urgent service requests addressed between 12 am and 7 am. Non-urgent requests should be submitted online or through the app at 311brampton.ca. ​

Brampton Transit

Brampton Transit will operate on the following service levels from April 3 to April 6: 

Friday, April 3 – Good Friday 

• Operating on a Sunday/Holiday schedule. 
• Customer Service counters at the terminals will be closed. The Contact Centre will be available to assist from 9 am to 6 pm at 905.874.2999. 
  

Saturday, April 4 

• Operating on a Saturday schedule. 
• Customer Service counters at the terminals will be open. The Contact Centre will be available to assist from 7 am to 7 pm at 905.874.2999. ​
  

Sunday, April 5 – Easter Sunday 

• Operating on a Sunday/Holiday schedule. 
• Customer Service counters at the terminals will be closed. The Contact Centre will be available to assist from 9 am to 6 pm at 905.874.2999. ​
  

Monday, April 6 – Easter Monday 

• Operating on a Weekday schedule. 
• Customer Service counters at the terminals will be open. The Contact Centre will be available to assist from 7 am to 9 pm at 905.874.2999. 

Brampton Transit Clark and Sandalwood Facilities, including Lost and Found, will be closed from Friday, April 3 to Monday, April 6 and will re-open on Tuesday, April 7.

Brampton Parks

City trails, parks, playgrounds and off-leash dog parks will remain open throughout the Easter long weekend. Spending time outdoors and staying active can support both physical and mental well-being.

Residents can visit brampton.ca/parks to discover trails and green spaces across Brampton. ​

Brampton Recreation

Select City of Brampton recreation centres will be open with adjusted hours over the holiday weekend. 

There will be no registered programs scheduled on Friday, April 3 or Monday, April 6. Please check your registration receipt for a list of exclusion dates.

Brampton Library

All Brampton Library locations will be closed on April 3, 5 and 6. Visit your nearest branch ahead of the holiday weekend to borrow books, movies, video games, GoPros, birdwatching kits and more. Everything is free, and there are no late fees on overdue items.

South Fletcher's Branch Library is now open during regular hours of operation in the Susan Fennell Sportsplex. Brampton Animal Services

The Brampton Animal Shelter will be closed on Good Friday and Easter Monday. Animal Services officers will continue patrols during the day and will respond to emergency calls after hours.
