​​BRAMPTON, ON — Starting February 9, new Brampton Transit fares will be in effect for adults, youth and non-resident seniors. This fare change also applies to the Argo pilot service. ​

The approximate 5 per cent increase will result in the following fee changes:  

Cash and contactless (credit and debit card)

Fare will increase from $4.50 to $4.75.

Adult fares (ages 20 to 64)

PRESTO e-Purse (per ride)

• Current fare: $3.40
• New fare: $3.55
  

PRESTO Weekly Pass

• Current fare: $37.50
  
• New fare: $39.50
  

PRESTO Monthly Pass

• Current fare: $141.25
• New fare: $148.50​
  

Youth fares (ages 13 to 19)

PRESTO e-Purse (per ride)

• Current fare: $2.80
• New fare: $2.95
  

PRESTO Weekly Pass

• Current fare: $30.25
• New fare: $31.75​
  

PRESTO Monthly Pass

• Current fare: $118.00
• New fare: $123.75
  

Non-Brampton resident senior fares (ages 65 and over)​

PRESTO e-Purse (per ride)

• Current fare: $1.75
• New fare: $1.85
  

*Customer loyalty program - once a customer pays for 12 single trips on Brampton Transit during any, one-week (Monday to Sunday) using their PRESTO card, each subsequent ride on Brampton Transit is free for the remainder of that week. 

The increase will not affect fares for children under the age of 12, or the free annual pass for Brampton senior residents. Brampton senior residents will continue to ride free as a part of the Brampton Senior Resident Free Annual Fare Pass Program launched in 2022.
