BRAMPTON, ON — The City of Brampton is inviting Ontario-based professional creatives to submit proposals for two exciting and distinct opportunities this spring.
Apply now – Lead programming for Culture Days in Brampton
Brampton is gearing up for its 2025 Culture Days lineup, and artists, collectives and cultural organizations are invited to submit proposals for engaging programming that celebrate arts, culture and community. Three successful applicants will receive up to $4,000 in program support, which may be used for artist fees, materials and eligible costs. The deadline to apply is June 24, 2025, at 11:59 pm.
Last year, Brampton was named a Top Participating Community in the Urban Centres category and ranked second overall nationally, with more than 200 free activities hosted by community partners including Brampton On Stage, Brampton Arts Organization (BAO), Brampton Public Library, Downtown Brampton BIA and Peel Art Gallery Museum and Archives (PAMA). This year, the City aims to connect even more residents and visitors with local talent and creativity.
Apply now – Create a new mural at the Brampton Fire and Emergency Services Headquarters and Training Centre
The City of Brampton invites professional artists and artist-led teams to express their interest in designing a new
mural for the front windows of the Brampton Fire and Emergency Services Headquarters and Training Facility. This mural will serve as a vibrant and meaningful tribute to Brampton’s first responders, reflecting the themes of service, community and resilience. Proposals are due by June 20, 2025, at 2 pm.
Visit brampton.ca/culture for more information about both opportunities and to submit a proposal.
Public Art in Brampton
Last year, the City endorsed its first Public Art Strategy, further underscoring its vision to implement public art into community development. Public art helps to create vibrant community spaces in Brampton. Art in public spaces invites residents and visitors to engage with their surroundings, sparking meaningful conversations and reinforcing the City’s commitment to diversity and inclusion. Brampton’s collection of public art includes more than 65 public art installations, carefully curated with the input of the community.
