Arts Organization’s Community Connects Workshop Series (formerly Community Presents) returns this year with another opportunity for local creatives and collectives to connect and share their talent with the community.
The Community Connects Workshop Series is a culmination of sessions developed and led by local creatives, curators, collectives, and arts administrators that create a space for learning and connectedness within the local arts community. These workshops are created for artists, by artists.
This year, Brampton Arts Organization (BAO) is looking for six local creatives and collectives to individually develop a workshop, event or gathering that can be used as a platform specifically for networking, sharing knowledge and skill-building. Each presenter will receive up to $1,250 from the City of Brampton for their workshop and service to the community.
Through the Community Connects Workshop Series, BAO has provided local creatives and collectives with a unique opportunity to present, develop and curate programming and initiatives tailored specifically for the local arts community. Last year, Community Connects welcomed more than 100 participants across its six workshops in various artistic disciplines to serve diverse communities. BAO is committed to continuing to foster opportunities for arts education and building the creative community in Brampton.
How to apply
Local creatives and collectives can apply to host a workshop, event, meetup, or gathering and be a part of this year’s Community Connects Workshop series. The deadline to apply is Sunday, March 3, at 11:59 pm.

About Community Connects Workshop Series
The Community Connects Workshop Series is an initiative promoting learning, knowledge-sharing, and community building within the Brampton arts, culture and creative community while developing individual community members' facilitation skills. BAO has empowered Brampton artists and creatives to craft programming and initiatives specifically for the community.
