BRAMPTON, ON– The City of Brampton has issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) from qualified licensed child care providers currently enrolled in the Canada-wide Early Learning and Child Care (CWELCC) program in Peel (or will enroll and qualify for CWELCC) to operate a new City-owned child care space in Brampton, for the selection of child care centre operators at the Chris Gibson Recreation Centre and future Embleton Community Centre. 
 
The child care centres will be located at the new Chris Gibson Recreation Centre​ (125 McLaughlin Road) and future Embleton Community Centre  (200 Lionhead Golf Club Road).  
 
The City is committed to the creation of long-term, publicly owned, quality child care spaces to meet the needs of our growing community. Quality child care supports parents and promotes healthy child development. Access to quality child care also plays an important role in the location decisions of families and businesses and is a key factor in helping businesses recruit and retain employees.
