BRAMPTON, ON – The City of Brampton is offering many ways to celebrate
Family Day together.
Recreation
and arts programming is available throughout the community on Monday, February
20, 2023, while many City of Brampton offices,
including City Hall, will be closed.
The
Rose Brampton
Spend Family Day with Performing Arts
Brampton at a fun-filled musical afternoon with children’s singing duo Sonshine
& Broccoli, pre-show activities, creative workshops, meet and greets and
more beginning
at 12:30 pm. This is a free event. To register click here.
Recreation Centres
Select
recreation centres will be open on Family Day with programming for residents.

Outdoor
amenities
Chinguacousy Park will offer free, family-friendly activities from 12 pm – 4 pm,
including a tennis drop-in,
family photo-op, snow golf and snow painting. Fire
warming stations will be available at the outdoor skating rink and ski chalet.
A food truck will
be onsite, and concession areas will be open.
Mount Chinguacousy is open, with beginner lessons,
drop-in skiing, snowboarding and tubing offered from 10 am – 6 pm, weather and snow conditions

Outdoor skating rinks are open on Family Day, weather and ice
conditions permitting. Visitors are encouraged to visit our outdoor
skating page for updates prior to attending.
All main recreational trails remain open and
maintained, including outdoor fitness equipment. All outdoor fields and courts are

Library
All Brampton Library branches will be closed on Monday, February
20, 2023, for Family Day.
To borrow
materials, reserve them online with your
Brampton Library card number and PIN. Learn about free

Brampton Transit
Brampton
Transit will be operating on a Sunday/Holiday schedule. The Contact Centre is
available to assist from 9 am – 6 pm, call 905.874.2999.
Customer Service counters at all
terminals, and the Clark and Sandalwood facilities, will be closed on Family Day.

All essential
and critical services, including Fire and Emergency Services, Traffic Services,

operate as usual.
