Brampton residents and businesses invited to offer feedback, ideas

BRAMPTON, ON – The City of Brampton is seeking input, ideas and feedback from residents, community groups and business owners to help shape the City’s 2023 Budget.

Members of the public are invited to engage throughout the budget process as the City hosts a series of telephone town halls, ward-specific coffee chats and a business roundtable.

Register now: Budget Tele Town Hall #1 – February 7

Budget Chair, Mayor Patrick Brown and Vice Chair, Councillor Paul Vicente will be hosting the first Budget 2023 Telephone Town Hall on Tuesday, February 7, 2023, from 7 to 8:30 pm.

Participants will have the chance to share community priorities, ask questions of City staff and offer ideas as Mayor and Councillors work through the 2023 Budget.

Further opportunities to engage in the 2023 Budget process include:
• Ward Coffee Chats – February 21, 22, 23, 24 and March 2, 2023
• Virtual Business Roundtable – February 23, 2023 at 8 am
• Telephone Town Hall #2 – February 25, 2023 at 12 pm

Budget 2023 Timeline

The proposed budget will be posted on the City’s website on Wednesday, February 15.

Deliberations will begin on February 27, 2023, with budget approval planned for March 9, 2023.

The City of Brampton’s annual budget identifies priorities, goals and initiatives that ensure good use of resources and links back to our Strategic Plan, which focuses on what matters most to residents.
