About the Integrated Downtown Plan
Downtown Brampton is undergoing a transformation, beginning with construction by the Region of Peel to replace watermain and sanitary sewers in the area, followed by the City’s work to replace and widen sidewalks, and repair and resurface roads.

These activations are a part of driving the City’s Integrated Downtown Plan (IDP), a roadmap for action coordinating Downtown Brampton’s many ongoing initiatives and infrastructure projects that is anticipated to guide future growth and strategic investment.

The guiding principles of the IDP are inclusivity, innovation and sustainability. It will help coordinate infrastructure upgrades, urban design, land use and programming interventions - positioning Brampton as a pivotal economic driver, regional cultural hub and Innovation District.
