City seeking feedback on draft Community Safety Action Plan

BRAMPTON, ON (July 11, 2022) – The City of Brampton is seeking feedback on its draft Community Safety Action Plan.

The draft Action Plan, led by the Community Safety and Well-Being Office, offers new solutions for implementing community safety and well-being at the lower-tier municipal level.

The draft Action Plan is focused primarily at the neighbourhood level to address safety concerns, connect those in need with resources and enhance a sense of belonging for all in the community. It identifies three Areas of Focus – Safety, Awareness, and Empowerment – with several tactics under each that will be implemented from 2022 to 2025.

The Action Plan was developed in consultation and with feedback from various stakeholders over several years. The City is re-engaging residents to provide feedback on the draft Action Plan by contacting the Community Safety and Well-Being Office at cswo@brampton.ca or by booking a meeting with City staff. Visit Brampton.ca for more information on the plan and feedback options.
