BRAMPTON, ON (April 2, 2020) – In response to COVID-19 and to ensure Brampton Transit is serving its community safely, the following weekend bus service will be changed until further notice, effective April 4.
The below routes will be affected.
Saturday:• 32 Father Tobin – service cancelled; will continue to operate Monday-Friday
• 33 Peter Robertson - service cancelled; will continue to operate Monday-Friday
• 56 Kingknoll – service cancelled; will continue to operator Monday-Friday
• 52 McMurchy – frequency reduced to every 50 minutes all day
Sunday:• 32 Father Tobin - service cancelled; will continue to operate Monday-Friday
• 56 Kingknoll - service cancelled; will continue to operate Monday-Friday
• 52 McMurchy – frequency reduced to every 50 minutes all day
These changes will be implemented in order to re-allocate additional resources to some of Brampton Transit’s busier routes as we continue to limit bus loads to half seated capacity to support physical distancing practices.
An enhanced cleaning and sanitizing schedule remains in effect. It is Brampton Transit’s goal to disinfect all hard surfaces, operator compartments and seats every 48 hours. Buses are currently sanitized every 24 hours. Facilities and terminals that have hard surfaces are wiped down and sanitized on a daily basis. Riders are encouraged to carry their own personal disinfectant when traveling, such as hand sanitizer or wipes, and wash their hands often.
The City of Brampton is working closely with its partners at Peel Public Health and the Brampton Emergency Management Office to continue to monitor risks. Visit
