Family Day 2019 in Brampton

​BRAMPTON, ON – Family Day celebrates the importance of families in our community. Residents are encouraged to spend time with their loved ones!

This year, Family Day takes place on Monday, February 18, 2019, and as a result, a number of City services will be unavailable or will operate under reduced service levels.

Brampton City Hall will be closed on Family Day. Residents will not be able to apply in person for marriage licences, book civil wedding ceremonies, pay parking fines, or apply for permits or renew or apply for business licences during this time.

Several services will continue to operate normally, including Fire and Emergency Services and City of Brampton By-law Enforcement.

Brampton Transit

Brampton Transit will provide Sunday/Holiday Service on Monday, February 18. Customer service counters at our terminals will be closed.

Brampton Recreation

On Monday, February 18, recreation centres across the city will offer fun events for the whole family to enjoy. Residents are invited to play carnival games, go geocaching, snowshoe, skate, and participate in a variety of other activities.

Chinguacousy Park, Gore Meadows Community Centre, and Gage Park will host a range of family-friendly activities. These Family Day events will feature one-day ski/snowboard lessons, tubing, a fire pit, crafts, cookie decorating and more.
