​BRAMPTON, ON (June 18, 2019) – Residents and visitors are invited to celebrate Brampton's LGBTTIQQ2SA community with three events this summer, two of which will be held for the first time ever!

Here are the details on Brampton’s Pride festivities this year:

Mayor Brown and Council Love is Love is Love Pride Parade Prep Party | June 22

Join us at City Hall on Saturday, June 22 from 2 to 4 pm for the first ever Mayor Brown and Council Love is Love is Love Pride Parade Prep Party. This family-friendly event will feature a DJ, refreshments and balloon artists. Everyone is invited to make a balloon creation to take to the Toronto Pride Parade the following day, Sunday, June 23. The party is sponsored by Meridian Credit Union.

Toronto Pride Parade with Mayor Brown and Council | June 23

Represent Brampton alongside Mayor Patrick Brown and Council at the Toronto Pride Parade — one of the biggest in North America — in honour of freedom, expression, love and understanding, on Sunday, June 23. If you are interested in being part of the primary march behind the Mayor and Councillors, wear a pink shirt and meet the Mayor and Council at 1:15 pm at Ted Rogers Way and Bloor Street.

Pride in the Square | July 7

For the second consecutive year, the City is hosting Pride in the Square. Join us in Garden Square on Sunday, July 7 from 2 to 9 pm and celebrate Pride through art, performance and family-friendly programming. Browse a variety of exhibitors and enjoy live entertainment, featuring headliner Too Attached, and artists Fay & Fluffy, Fly Lady Di and Quarterback. Don’t miss the after-party on the Rose Theatre patio from 7 to 9 pm with DJ Chippy Nonstop.
