About the artists
Tyler Shaw
Tyler Shaw is a platinum-selling artist, producer and actor. The Chinese-Canadian released his hit song “Kiss Goodnight” in 2012, and the melodic track quickly hit platinum sales. In 2014 Tyler earned a JUNO Award nominated for ‘Breakthrough Artist of the Year.’ He then went on to release certified gold tracks “House of Cards” and “Wicked”, all from his 2015 debut album Yesterday.
Tyler has opened for massive artists such as Shawn Mendes and Alessia Cara, as well as toured with Selena Gomez. The multi-talented artist recently exercised his acting skills as the lead role in the feature film The Meaning of Life, released in summer 2017. Tyler’s first single, “Cautious”, from his forthcoming sophomore album is available now.
Tom Cochrane
After iconic musician Tom Cochrane's early beginnings as a folk-based singer/songwriter playing the coffeehouses of Toronto's famed Yorkville scene in the early '70s, Tom became the driving force with the adventurous rockers Red Rider prior to achieving massive international success (over 3 million units worldwide and rare diamond-sales status at home) with the breakthrough 1991 album Mad Mad World and its anthemic hit Life Is A Highway, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year! With his other recordings combined, he has sold over 6 million worldwide. Over the course of this long and illustrious career, now spanning more than 40 years, the pride of Lynn Lake, Manitoba has covered more terrain than the Franklin expedition.
Tom has continued to create potent new material (5 more recordings and several separate single releases since Mad Mad World) while cementing his place in the hearts of Canadians through passionate crowd-pleasing performances from coast to coast and his unwavering work on behalf of humanitarian causes and organizations. An Officer of the Order of Canada recipient and Canadian Music Hall of Fame inductee, Cochrane has won eight JUNO awards and numerous other industry honors, including the 2013 Allan Waters Humanitarian Award and a Grammy nomination.
