​​​​More than 1,500 positions available to help deliver a fair, successful and accessible municipal election

BRAMPTON, ON (June 9, 2026) – Brampton residents may now apply to be election workers for the 2026 Municipal Election. 

Working in the municipal election is a great opportunity to gain new skills and experience and connect with your community. There are several positions available and the detailed job descriptions are available at brampton.ca/electionworkers.​

Positions include:

  • Accessible Unit Attendant 
  • Assistant Location Supervisor 
  • Deputy Returning Officer 
  • Greeter
  • Location Supervisor 
  • Tabulator Attendant

​Visit the Election Team at the Brampton Celebrates Pride event, Canada Day celebration or at select Brampton Farmers’ Market dates to get your questions answered by staff and apply on the spot.

Quick facts

  • Those interested may apply online at brampton.ca/electionworkers starting June 9.
  • Hard copy applications will be available at the City Clerk’s Office at City Hall, 2 Wellington St. W., starting June 9.
  • The City Clerk’s Office is open weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
  • Applicants selected will be notified in late summer and will be required to attend training prior to working.
  • Positions for advance voting are also available. Advance voting will take place on October 9, 10, 11, 16 and 17.
  • Training and compensation will be provided.
  • Previous experience and computer skills are preferred.
