Free festivals, guided rides, workplace initiatives and trail experiences invite residents to get active, explore local routes and see Brampton by bike
BRAMPTON, ON (May 28, 2026) – Bike Month begins in Brampton with a full calendar of events inviting residents to ride, learn, explore and experience the city by bike. Throughout June, the City of Brampton will offer cycling events, community rides and educational activities across the city.

Bike Month features the family-friendly Brampton Bike Festival, the scenic Bike the Creek ride, volunteer-led Community Bike Rides, workplace cycling initiatives and opportunities to explore local trails. Together, these activities offer residents of all ages and abilities meaningful ways to connect with neighbourhoods, parks and natural spaces.
Brampton Bike Festival
Date: Sunday, May 31, 2026
Time: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Location: Chinguacousy Park near Sandra Hames Curling Centre
Bike Month starts with Brampton Bike Festival, a free community event for cyclists, families and residents curious about getting around on two wheels. Residents can enjoy light bike tune-ups and safety checks, a children’s bike parade and obstacle course, cycling education, e-scooter demonstrations, vendors, music, food trucks and giveaways.
The event also connects residents with local cycling organizations and information about Brampton’s cycling infrastructure.
Bike the Creek
Date: Saturday, June 13, 2026
Thousands of cyclists will take to local routes for Bike the Creek, an annual ride showcasing scenic creek trails, natural spaces and destinations in Brampton and surrounding communities. The event encourages residents to discover the city through active transportation while riding alongside other cycling enthusiasts.

Community Bike Rides
Dates: May 31, June 2, 6, 16, 21 and continuing through October
Led by volunteers from the Active Transportation Advisory Committee, Community Bike Rides offer free guided cycling experiences for residents and visitors throughout Brampton. The rides promote safe cycling habits while encouraging participants to discover trails, neighbourhoods and community destinations across the city.

Explore Brampton’s trail network
Residents can experience Brampton’s extensive trail system year-round by biking, walking, running or enjoying other outdoor activities along routes that connect parks, neighbourhoods and natural spaces throughout the city. Many trails feature paved pathways and signage to help residents navigate and discover new areas along the way.

Bike to Work Week
Throughout June, employers are invited to participate in Bike to Work initiatives promoting cycling as a healthy and sustainable commuting option. Employers can support staff by organizing workplace activities and encouraging employees to commute by bike during a selected week in June. Employers can sign up here to receive a free toolkit.
