The award recognizes excellence in municipal financial reporting across Canada and the United States.

The recognition highlights the City’s 2024 Annual Financial Report and its commitment to the highest standards in government accounting and financial reporting. 

The City prepares and publishes a comprehensive annual report designed to be clear and ​accessible for residents to understand. The report exceeds the minimum requirements of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. The recognition reflects strong financial reporting standards and a continued commitment to transparency for residents. ​
