Quote

“The 2026 Budget focuses on keeping Brampton’s neighbourhoods safe, delivering reliable services and making thoughtful investments supporting families and communities across the city. With a proposed 1.5 per cent increase on the City's portion of the tax bill – keeping Brampton among the lowest City tax rates in the GTA – we are taking a disciplined and responsible approach that protects taxpayers while continuing to invest in public safety, essential services, parks, recreational amenities and community spaces to support healthy, active lifestyles. I encourage residents to review the budget and share their feedback as the budget process moves forward. - Patrick Brown, Mayor, City of Brampton
