Recreation Revitalized | Cassie Campbell Field Hockey Multisport Training Dome

Located on the grounds of the Cassie Campbell Community Centre, this transformative project represents an investment of more than $19 million in active living, youth engagement and inclusive recreation. The new air-supported dome will cover a new full-size turf field hockey field. A new straight running track with long and triple jump sand pits, along with cricket and baseball batting cages, will also be housed within the dome for year-round accessibility. A comfort station with change rooms and washrooms will be added as part of the dome project. The facility is anticipated to be complete in early 2026.

The Cassie Campbell Field Hockey Multisport Training Dome builds upon the legacy of the Cassie Campbell Community Centre, named after Brampton-born Olympian Cassie Campbell-Pascall. Since opening in 2008, the centre has been a hub for local athletes and families. The existing field and future new field and dome will welcome youth, local and professional field hockey and sports events, providing a platform for athletes of all levels to develop their skills and build community connections.

The Cassie Campbell Field Hockey Multisport Training Dome is part of Brampton’s broader commitment to winterizing recreation amenities to improve the availability of sports year-round. This includes the new Earnscliffe Park Cricket Facilitywhich will offer a winterized space for cricket enthusiasts once complete and the recently opened Rosalea Park Tennis Facility, connecting more youth to the sport. Together, these projects strengthen Brampton’s position as a city dedicated to enhancing recreation and keeping residents active throughout the year.
