BRAMPTON, ON (July 21, 2025) – Mayor Patrick Brown’s Hockey Night in Brampton continues to grow its elite roster with the return of NHL greats Jeremy Roenick and Cody Hodgson, joined this year by former Montreal Canadiens left wing and Shorsey star, Terry Ryan. Together, they bring top-tier skill, fan-favourite status and unforgettable energy to the game.

Hockey Hall of Famers Darryl Sittler and Wendel Clark return as coaches
Coaching this year’s teams are two of the most iconic names in hockey history, Hockey Hall of Famers Darryl Sittler and Wendel Clark. Returning to Hockey Night in Brampton, both former Toronto Maple Leafs captains bring their leadership and legacy that will elevate this year’s charity showdown.
These celebrated players and coaches bring decades of NHL experience, leadership and personality to the ice. Their passion for the game and connection to hockey fans across generations will make this year’s event truly special, inspiring the community while supporting a vital cause.

Hockey Night in Brampton returns to the CAA Centre on Wednesday, August 20, 2025. Tickets are $25 and available now at hockeynightbrampton.ca.
In 2024, the event raised a record-setting $14 million in support of local health care initiatives, making it the largest charity hockey game in Canadian history.

Jeremy Roenick
A dynamic American forward and nine-time NHL All-Star, Jeremy Roenick returns to Hockey Night in Brampton for the 2025 all-star lineup. With a career spanning over 1,300 NHL games and 500 goals, Roenick made his mark with storied franchises including the Chicago Blackhawks and Philadelphia Flyers. Known for his electrifying play and larger-than-life personality, he remains one of the game’s most passionate and entertaining ambassadors.
Cody Hodgson
Cody Hodgson returns to Hockey Night in Brampton, bringing back his elite hockey pedigree and strong connection to the local community. Drafted 10th overall by the Vancouver Canucks in the 2008 NHL Draft, Hodgson was a highly skilled center known for his offensive talent and strong hockey sense. Before his NHL career, Hodgson starred for the Brampton Battalion in the OHL, where he was named the OHL Player of the Year in 2009. His NHL career highlights include earning a spot on the NHL All-Rookie Team in the 2011-12 season with the Canucks and being traded to the Buffalo Sabres in 2012, where he had his best NHL season in 2013-14, scoring 44 points (20 goals, 24 assists).
Terry Ryan
Terry Ryan, drafted 8th overall by the Montreal Canadiens in 1995, makes his Hockey Night in Brampton debut with a powerful blend of grit, charisma and community pride. A celebrated figure in Newfoundland hockey and a fan-favourite across Canada, Ryan is known for his physical play, infectious energy and vibrant presence both on the ice and in the media. His passion for the game and larger-than-life persona promise to ignite this year’s all-star lineup.
Beyond the rink, Ryan has gained a new wave of fans as a breakout star on the hit hockey comedy Shoresy.
