Experience the city on two wheels with activities all month long
BRAMPTON, ON (May 22, 2025) – Get ready to roll! June is Bike Month and the City of Brampton is celebrating with fun, family-friendly events to get residents moving and exploring the city on two wheels. Whether you’re a seasoned cyclist or just getting started, there’s something for everyone.

Bike Month encourages cycling, promotes active transportation and brings together a growing community of cyclists across Brampton. Residents are invited to enjoy more than 600 kilometres of trails, paths and cycling infrastructure, including over 50 kilometres of dedicated bike lanes.
Bike Month Highlights
Brampton Bicycle Festival
Date: Saturday, May 24
Location: Chinguacousy Park – P3 (by Sandra Hames Curling Club), 9050 Bramalea Rd, Brampton, ON
Time: 10 am to 2 pm
Get a head start on Bike Month at the Brampton Bicycle Festival, a free event to explore active transportation through bike-themed games and activities, safety tips, giveaways and more. Learn more at

Bike the Creek
Date: Saturday, June 7
Location: Jim Archdekin Recreation Centre, 292 Conestoga Dr., Brampton, ON
Choose from multiple scenic routes through Brampton and beyond. Ride options include:
- 6 km Family Ride (Check-in: 8:45 am)
- 15 km Family Ride (Check-in: 8:45 am)
- 25 km Nature Ride (Check-in: 7:30 am)
- 65 km Caledon Town Ride (Check-in: 6:30 am)
- 68 km Regional Ride (Check-in: 6:30 am)
Community Bike Rides
Dates: May 24, 25, June 3, 8, 17 and 22
Free casual cycling tours led by volunteer members of the Brampton Cycling Advisory Committee. Register at

Brampton Bike Hub Workshops
Dates: May 23, June 6, and 20
Time: 6:30 to 8 pm
Location: 8 Nelson St., Suite 104, Brampton, ON
Visit your Brampton Bike Hub, Different Spokes and get acquainted with the community. The hub is offering workshops for every level of cyclist to learn basic repair skills. Workshops include Intro to Repair, Brakes and Get Your Bearings.
Bike Basics Program
Dates: July to August
Locations: Earnscliffe Recreation Centre, Chinguacousy Park Sandra Hames Centre, Gore Meadows Community Centre, Jim Archdekin Recreation Centre
A free interactive two-hour outdoor workshop where participants (ages 6-14) learn about bike fit, safety equipment, street signs, signaling, stopping and how to ride. Participants must bring a helmet and a bike in good working order. Each workshop concludes with a family-friendly bike ride to build rider confidence.
Experience Brampton’s recreational trails
Hike, bike, walk, run or cross-country ski along one of Brampton’s recreational trail systems, which offer guided and paved recreational trails throughout the city. Look for wayfinding signs along your route, and plan time to stop for new discoveries and adventures.
Active Transportation Master Plan
The Active Transportation Master Plan focuses on the implementation strategy for building a connected cycling and pedestrian network across the city (and connecting to neighbouring municipalities) to enable safer, more convenient travel by non-motorized modes, and to encourage cycling as a viable means of transportation for both recreational and utilitarian purposes for the public.
