​​BRAMPTON, ON (May 16, 2025) – The Amalgamated Transit Union (ATU) Local 1573 has ratified two collective agreements covering approximately 1,400 City employees in the full-time and part-time ATU bargaining units.

Any job action and service disruptions have been avoided. The agreements, once ratified at the May 21, 2025, City Council Meeting, shall be in effect from July 1, 2024 to June 30, 2027.

The City of Brampton and ATU Local 1573 reached a fair deal that is respectful of the important work the members of ATU Local 1573 do every day to keep the city’s transit system safely moving.
