The Canadian Award for Financial Reporting recognizes municipalities that achieve the highest standards in government accounting and financial reporting. The City of Brampton earned this award for its 2023 Annual Financial Report, demonstrating excellence by preparing and publishing a comprehensive yet clear and accessible financial document.
The Annual Financial Report surpassed the standards set by the Public Sector Accounting Board of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada. It clearly communicated the City’s financial health, emphasizing transparency and accountability to Brampton residents.
