Crown Lands set to perform October 1 in Garden Square Brampton

Performing Arts Brampton is excited to welcome Crown Lands with opener Amanda Rheaume to Garden Square Brampton for a free outdoor concert on Saturday, October 1 at 7 pm. The Rose Brampton is a proud member of the Downie Wenjack Legacy Spaces Program.

The release of Crown Lands’ upcoming, self-titled debut album, produced by six-time Grammy winner Dave Cobb, marked the arrival of a major new force. Raised in Southwestern Ontario, Kevin Comeau (guitar, bass and keys) and Cody Bowles (vocals and drums) bring together a range of influences from folk and blues to psychedelic to prog-rock and, drawing on their own intense personal chemistry, create something unique and startlingly fresh.

In 2016, Crown Lands released their first EP, Mantra, and accelerated their relentless touring schedule, which has seen them open for Jack White, Coheed and Cambria, Primus, and Rival Sons.

In addition to the concert there will be opportunities to shop an Indigenous-owned vendor market from local artisans and stores including: Native Beadwork, jewellery, children’s books, candles and much more.

“Performing Arts Brampton offers amazing lineups of live music, theatre and cultural experiences for residents and visitors to enjoy. I hope everyone enjoys the performance by Crown Lands and encourage you to support the Indigenous-owned vendor market at Garden Square on October 1.”
- Patrick Brown, Mayor, City of Brampton

“Brampton is a Mosaic, and Performing Arts Brampton continues to offer diverse and exciting experiences to enjoy! Visit Garden Square and support the Indigenous-owned vendor market and stay for the free concert from Crown Lands on October 1!”
- Rowena Santos, Regional Councillor, Wards 1 & 5; Chair, Community Services, City of Brampton

"Seamless musicianship and authentic selves are two powerful qualities Crown Lands utilize to engage and inspire audiences. Please join us in Garden Square, for Crown Lands' free concert for all ages. It's sure to be memorable and carry us forward."
- Steven Schipper, Executive Artistic Director, Performing Arts Brampton
