BRAMPTON, ON (August 4, 2022) – The City of Brampton’s Nurturing Neighbourhoods Program will return on Tuesday, August 9, 2022.

The Nurturing Neighbourhoods Program aims to improve civic engagement, empower residents to play an active role in enhancing their neighbourhood, and connect them with resources. There are three ways for residents to learn more about their neighbourhood and share what is important to them:

• Neighbourhood walks – there will be five walks and workshops hosted across Brampton: Fletcher’s Meadow N/S and Van Kirk, Lundy Village and Fletcher’s Creek, Bramalea G-Section, Castlemore Estates and Wildfield, and Sheridan.
• Virtual tours – there will be ten virtual tours, highlighting neighbourhood gems across Brampton.
• Neighbourhood survey – the City wants to understand the community’s neighbourhoods and how residents interact within them. Residents are encouraged to take the online survey.
• Online mapping tool – this tool will allow residents to identify places they love, concerns, and changes they would like to see throughout the city.

Brampton residents are also invited to share a short video highlighting their favourite neighbourhood gems for a chance at winning prizes! Let the City know your favourite local spots by August 14. Selected videos will be featured in this year’s program! Videos can be submitted online at www.brampton.ca/communitysafety.

Sponsorship supports the City’s efforts to provide free quality programming that is accessible to everyone in the community. The Nurturing Neighbourhood Program is once again generously sponsored by Alectra and Enbridge Gas.
