Discover Brampton’s creative talent at the Culture Calls Weekender from August 21 to 23!

BRAMPTON, ON (August 14, 2020) – The City of Brampton presents the Culture Calls Weekender, an online event from August 21 to 23, featuring performances, panel talks and workshops with Brampton’s emerging creative talent.

The Culture Calls Weekender is a digital experience for creative expression, collaboration, and community. More than 15 local artists including comedians, musicians and spoken word artists will participate in the three-day festival on The Rose Virtual Stage on Instagram Live @TheRoseBrampton, and on Zoom.

Local artists taking part in the festival include Brandon Ash-Mohammed, Martín Añón, Maya Killtron, TRP.P, Nicole Chambers, Reeko Rieffe, Rachelle Brown, R. Flex & Roshanie, Joelle White, Josephine Cruz, Keosha Love, Litney Spearz, Joyia, Desiree Mckenzie, and Siddartha.

The Culture Calls Weekender is an expansion of the Culture Calls series by the City of Brampton, hosted by local DJ and radio host Roshanie, to support artists in our community during COVID-19. Brampton artist Jasmin Pannu created the artwork for the festival, which features classic Brampton landmarks and visuals such as Garden Square, the 410 sign and Sonny’s.
