BRAMPTON, ON (June 3, 2020) – Today, the City launched
InvestBrampton.ca, a new website which provides a centralized online source for local businesses, entrepreneurs and potential foreign investors to access the information and resources they need to locate or grow their business in Brampton. The new InvestBrampton.ca website was highlighted as an immediate action in the City’s Economic Recovery Strategy.
With a focus on interactivity, the website makes it easy for site selectors, potential investors, and local businesses to find information quickly and easily and connect with expert advisors. New features include: a central resources page, a site selection tool and direct access to the new investment services team who provide a personalized, customized service for potential investors. The site also features a chat capability.
On May 13, Brampton Council approved the Economic Recovery Strategy as a framework for the City to move forward with restarting the local economy. The Mayor’s COVID-19 Economic Support Task Force guided the development of the City’s Economic Recovery Strategy, which will be achieved by implementing actions under each of the four cornerstones: Innovation, Technology and Entrepreneurship, Investment, Infrastructure, and Arts, Culture & Tourism.
Other initiatives recently launched to support Brampton’s economic recovery include the City’s Support Local campaign and digital ShopHERE program.
Brampton is home to almost 74,000 businesses. In 2019, the Brampton Entrepreneur Centre conducted almost 1,000 small business consultations and handled over 10,000 small business inquiries.
