City supports Easter Seals Ontario’s 2020 Brampton Celebrity Hockey Classic

BRAMPTON, ON (March 11, 2020) – Today, the City of Brampton announced its support for Easter Seals Ontario’s 2020 Brampton Celebrity Hockey Classic at South Fletcher’s Sportsplex. The City is waiving the recreation facility fees to make the event possible.

On Thursday, May 7, former NHL stars will hit the ice at South Fletcher’s Sportsplex, located at 500 Ray Lawson Boulevard. Local hockey players and community partners will fundraise and play alongside NHL greats in support of Easter Seals Ontario and the programs they provide to children with physical disabilities in our community.

The tournament kicks off on Wednesday, May 6 with an exciting Celebrity VIP Draft Party, where teams will select an NHL star to play with them. The teams with the highest fundraising totals will receive a first-round draft pick! Participating NHL stars will be announced on City of Brampton social media channels in the coming days.
