Better GO service coming soon for Brampton

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

BRAMPTON, ON (August 15, 2019) - Today, the Province of Ontario announced expanded GO service across all the major lines, with specific improvements that will benefit Brampton commuters and visitors.

The additional service includes 84 total new weekly trips across the Kitchener, Lakeshore East and Lakeshore West GO lines and 65 extended weekly trips across the Kitchener and Lakeshore West lines.

Highlights for Brampton include:
• With the new service, Brampton will now see 50 weekly train trips along the Kitchener GO line
• New late-night weekly service between Union Station and Kitchener GO
• Hourly weekday evening service between Union Station and Bramalea GO
• A weekday express trip from Union Station to Bramalea GO, then making all stops west to Kitchener GO that will save at least 10 minutes for Brampton commuters

The new service improvements for Brampton are expected to be running by September 3. More schedule details can be found on GO Transit’s website.

This GO service expansion comes not long after new service improvements announced by Brampton Transit.
