BRAMPTON, ON (April 15, 2019) – Grab your swimsuit, your blanket, and a notebook!
This year, National Youth Week is taking place from May 1 to 7 and the City of Brampton is celebrating with fun, free events.
Here’s the breakdown of activities.
DJ Pool Party
• Friday, May 3 | 7:30 to 8:30 pm
Youth aged 10 to 18 are invited to Gore Meadows Community Centre for a pool party complete with a DJ and pool inflatables.
Outdoor Movie Night
• Saturday, May 4 | 8:30 pm*
Youth aged 10 to 18 can bring their blankets and chairs to Century Gardens Park for an outdoor movie night with free popcorn and drinks.
*Please arrive by 8 pm to snag your spot.
Planning for Your Future
• Sunday, May 5 | 4:30 to 6:30 pm
Youth aged 14 to 18 can join us at Cassie Campbell Community Centre for a guest speaker, a resume writing workshop, an interview skills and tips workshop, a recruitment fair, and free pizza.
Youth Nights
The City hosts weekly Youth Nights for young people aged 6 to 17. For $2 per person every Friday, from 6 to 9 pm, youth are invited to enjoy sports, dancing, games and more at three Brampton Recreation Centres: Cassie Campbell Community Centre, Century Gardens Recreation Centre and Gore Meadows Community Centre.
