BRAMPTON, ON (April 12, 2019) – Council has approved a recommendation by Brampton Transit to change PRESTO adult fares beginning May 12.

The fare change is projected to generate additional revenues of $1.1 million in 2019 and will help Brampton Transit finance various service improvements and expansion, including:

• Adding five 60 ft. articulated and seven 40 ft. conventional buses to the fleet in 2019.
• Providing an additional 81,000 service hours this year.

Fare reductions are on the way for Brampton seniors. Brampton Transit is working to launch $15 monthly seniors' passes towards the end of this year/early 2020.
