“I’m proud that the City of Brampton is hosting its first public Black History Month events. On behalf of all of Council, we look forward to this opportunity to celebrate our Black African and Caribbean community, and to many future cultural celebrations,” said Mayor Patrick Brown.
Black History Month is a national event, recognizing the important contributions Black Canadians have made to Canadian heritage and identity. Brampton’s events celebrate the past and present contributions of our local Black community to all aspects of life in our city.
