Brampton, ON - Fall is here and the fun continues. The City of Brampton has your autumn covered with colourful, tasty and spooky events to celebrate the season.
Thursday, October 5 (Mount Pleasant Village Market) and Saturday, October 7 (Downtown Farmers’ Market) are your last opportunities to pick up those farm fresh additions for any Thanksgiving table.
This fall, the City of Brampton launches the NEW Harvest Market. Saturdays, following Thanksgiving (October 14 to November 4), continue to enjoy the harvest with many downtown vendors from 8 am to 1 pm. The Market is downtown on Main Street North from Queen to Nelson Streets.
Also on Saturday, October 7…the Downtown Brampton BIA will be hosting their annual pumpkin decorating at the market beginning at 9 am. The first 250 children will be given a free pumpkin to decorate.
Attend a free celebration to mark the end of the 2017Grow Green Eco Pledge program on October 7, from 9 am to 1 pm, in Ken Whillans Square outside of City Hall. There will be games, environmental exhibitors, entertainment and raffle prizes! The celebration is being held in concert with the Downtown Brampton Farmers’ Market.
The fun continues with some traditional favourites. Three weekends of spooky fun begin Friday, October 13 at Fright Nights. Kids are welcome to wear their costumes for crafts, live music, swimming*, skating*, and more family-friendly activities! Free admission to swim and skate* with a non-perishable food donation per person. All events take place from 6 - 9 pm at:

The Great Pumpkin Party has been bringing a smashing good time to the downtown since 2008. Join the crowd Wednesday, November 1, from 6 to 8 pm. Come in costume and bring your Halloween pumpkins to Garden Square for this green partnership with the Region of Peel. This initiative has diverted approximately 3,500 pumpkins from landfills to date, and will bring awareness for how to compost your Halloween pumpkins and other household materials.
Pumpkins will be lit up for one last time before the annual Great Pumpkin SMASH!
Come out and enjoy free activities including cookie decorating and crafts, food and exciting entertainment including Enviro Drum, glow performances and a cabinet of curiosity.
