Celebrate the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup™ final match in Garden Square

​Presented by the City of Brampton and Coca-Cola Refreshments Canada

BRAMPTON, ON: The City of Brampton, in partnership with Coca-Cola Refreshments Canada, is hosting a FIFA Women’s World Cup™ celebration in Garden Square (opposite Rose Theatre) on July 5, 2015. Residents and visitors are invited to enjoy complimentary food and refreshments, while taking in the final match of the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup™ on Garden Square’s new giant LED screen.

The event begins at 4 pm with family friendly entertainment and activities. The match begins at 7 pm. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs as seating is limited.

“Sporting events like the FIFA Women’s World Cup™ have the ability to unite our community and give us all the opportunity to display our passion for sports and our national pride,” said Mayor Linda Jeffrey. “I am really excited that we have this chance to share the final game with all our residents right in the heart of downtown Brampton.”

“Brampton is home to Coca-Cola’s largest Canadian facility and to hundreds of our employees,” said John Stiefelmeyer, Vice President of Field Sales for Coca-Cola Refreshments Canada. “At Coca-Cola, we believe amazing things happen when people come together. We’re looking forward to coming together with our Brampton neighbours to celebrate this momentous occasion.”

A complimentary assortment of beverages will be available on-site courtesy of Coca-Cola Refreshments Canada.

Motorists in the area are advised that a portion of Main Street, between Queen and Nelson Streets, will be closed from approximately 3 pm until 11 pm on July 5, 2015.  Free public parking is available all day at the four municipal parking garages in the downtown: City Hall, John Street, Nelson Square and Market Square.
