Celebrate Recreation and Seniors Month with the City of Brampton

Celebrate Recreation and Seniors Month in Brampton with activities and events throughout June.

 

Learn about the benefits of healthy activity by participating in Recreation Month in Brampton, with free programming and special events, including National Health and Fitness Day and International Yoga Day.

In celebration of June is Seniors Month, the City of Brampton continues to engage and celebrate the senior population living in our community.

 

Adults aged 55 and over are invited to join us for special events and free programs throughout the month of June, including Springfest and a Fire Safety Open House.

Brampton Fire and Emergency Services invites seniors to drop in during their open house where they can learn about fire and fall prevention, meet Fire personnel and interact with community partners, with prizes and giveaways for all.

Through the Age-Friendly Strategy, the City is focused on responding to the unique needs of residents during all stages of life, through the development and design of complete, sustainable communities.  

The City of Brampton introduced the Seniors Resource Directory in 2022 as part of a New Horizons grant received. The goal of the directory is to provide access to key resources at the click of a button, helping people find services needed. The directory is categorized into 12 topic related themes to improve the user experience and make navigation easier.
