City launches BT Safe app for Brampton Transit riders

BRAMPTON, ON (May 18, 2022) – The City of Brampton has launched the BT Safe app for Brampton Transit riders.

The BT Safe app is a Transit Safety Mobile Reporting Solution available for iOS and Android. The app offers Brampton Transit riders a convenient, user-friendly and discreet method for reporting harassment, safety concerns or suspicious activity directly to Brampton Transit. In the event of an emergency, the BT Safe app also allows riders to notify 9-1-1 directly.

Using this app, customers can do their part to help make transit safer for all by providing detailed reports of incidents and situations that are observed on Brampton Transit – whether on a vehicle, at a terminal or at a bus stop. Reported issues are confidential and can be made anonymously.

Brampton Transit is committed to the safety of its riders and employees. The BT Safe app is an extension of Brampton Transit’s award-winning See Something, Hear Something, Say Something public awareness program to help maintain a safe transit system and to look out for the safety of the Brampton Transit community. The program encourages all Brampton Transit employees and riders to commit to being alert, informed, prepared and involved partners in safety.
