Celebrating Ramadan with a community Iftar in Brampton

BRAMPTON, ON (April 7, 2022) – Celebrate Brampton’s diversity and break fast at the City of Brampton’s Community Iftar on Thursday, April 21 from 7 to 9 pm in City Hall.

Gather as a community to celebrate Ramadan with prayer, nasheeds and the breaking of evening fast.

The evening will include:

  • Quranic recitation and translation by the Brampton Islamic Centre
  • Family friendly entertainment including Turkish Ilahis and Whirling Dervishes
  • Remarks from Mayor Brown and Members of Council
  • Guest speakers from Ryerson University and Brampton Civic Hospital
  • Evening prayer
  • Iftar dinner, pre-packaged halal meals
