​​The City of Brampton is hosting a special event to officially unveil a new memorial public artwork titled ‘Contours of Connection’ by Xiaojing Yan and Lilly Otasevic, honouring the legacy of the Honourable William ‘Bill’ G. Davis, Ontario’s 18th Premier and one of Brampton’s most distinguished residents.

The event will include remarks from government and community leaders, followed by an outdoor photo opportunity at the site of the memorial public artwork. Speakers include: 

• Doug Ford, Premier of Ontario
• Patrick Brown, Mayor, City of Brampton
• Rowena Santos, Regional Councillor for Wards 1 and 5; Chair, Community Services, City of Brampton
• Nando Iannicca, Chair and Chief Executive Officer, Region of Peel
• Steve Paikin, Host, The Paikin Podcast; Author, Bill Davis: Nation Builder and Not so Bland After All 
• Neil Davis, son of Premier Davis

LOCATION: Council Chambers, second floor, Peel Art Gallery, Museum and Archives, 9 Wellington St. E., Brampton, ON (accessed using the entrance on Main Street)

Parking is available in the City Hall Parking Garage, which can be accessed from George Street.
