Visit the Brampton Arts Organization’s Winter Artist Market at the Winter Lights Festival

BRAMPTON, ON (November 18, 2022) – The Brampton Winter Artist Market will take place on Saturday, November 19 at Alderlea (40 Elizabeth St S) from 11 am to 5 pm and is part of the Winter Lights Festival. This will be the second artist market hosted by the Brampton Arts Organization (BAO).

The Winter Artist Market will feature over 20 Brampton artists and arts organization vendors selling one-of-a-kind, handmade items. Shop from a wide range of works from prints, hand-made jewelry, illustrations, woodworking, artwork and more. 

Start your holiday shopping with us, take in the beauty of the historic Alderlea and connect with local artists and organizations, while listening to live music by DJ Roshanie.
 
Artists and vendors include:

905 INK Tattoo Shop was established to let passionate artists express themselves and to bring to life our customers’ ideas and memories through ink.
 
Aditi Ganeev Sangwan is a visual artist and educator focused on examining the healing power of art, especially in times of displacement or loss.
 
Annmarie Claudette is a visual artist whose work explores themes of positivity.
 
Anita Pietras is a pastel artist inspired by our Canadian landscapes and cityscapes.
 
Ashley Hasfal is a professional 2D designer and comic artist.
 
Brampton Quilters Guild is dedicated to encouraging and advancing skills and interests in quilting within the community and will continue to increase our quilting skills through the sharing of experiences, fellowship and education.
 
Emmmbellished creates unique handcrafted statement earrings.
 
Joy San writes and draws comics and creates illustrations focused on horror.
 
Karahkwa Jewelry is Joy Rogers, a beader and member of the Six Nations of the Grand River with Haudenosaunee.
 
Meegan Lim is an illustrator and arts facilitator known for her detailed illustrations focusing on food and cultural identity, and the vast stories within those intersections 

millielio dreamland makes jewellery and prints inspired by her dreams + reality.
 
Neha Ray, also known as Sagwa, is a multidisciplinary artist and sneakerhead.
 
Ricky Lima is a book maker and storyteller from Brampton.
 
Smilex Studio tries to incorporate as much movement as possible into his woodworking, to mirror the ebb and flow of the natural world around us.
 
The inPrint Collective is a not-for-profit group of artists dedicated to fostering the love of printmaking. inPrint is currently made up of Maaike Bouhuyzen-Wenger, Maureen Da Silva, Shannon Moynagh, and Amye St John.
 
The Paper Narwhal, an illustration and art goods brand, is the creation of Sabbie Narwal, a Brampton-based artist and designer.
 
Together With Art was founded in 2020 by Gunpreet Heir, a high school student from Brampton. TWA is now composed of over 30 creators, working together to make a difference using the arts.

Visual Arts Brampton is a not-for-profit visual arts organization that fosters artistic expression through education, exhibitions and community outreach.
