BRAMPTON, ON – This summer, Brampton is turning up the energy across the city with the return of Summer in the City, a season-long invitation to experience festivals, outdoor adventures, live entertainment, recreation programs and family-friendly activities close to home.

Summer in the City captures the experiences that make the season memorable for residents, families and visitors exploring Brampton. Splash pads, outdoor movie nights, cultural celebrations, neighbourhood events, trails, markets and sporting activities will showcase the city’s energy, creativity and community pride all summer long.​

Where the Game Grows

This summer, the City of Brampton is bringing soccer-inspired events and community activations to neighbourhoods across the city through Experience Brampton’s Where the Game Grows campaign.

Residents and visitors can enjoy Team Canada match screenings, soccer-themed movie nights, interactive fan experiences and community celebrations highlighting Brampton’s passion for the game and growing soccer culture.

The summer programming also celebrates Brampton’s strong connection to Team Canada and Canadian soccer, with several national team players and alumni having roots in the city, including Atiba Hutchinson, Cyle Larin, Jonathan Osorio, Tajon Buchanan, Promise David, Jayden Nelson and Doneil Henry.

Canada Celebrates the FIFA World Cup 2026™ Community Activation

As one of the final stops of the Canada Celebrates the FIFA World Cup 2026™ Community Activation, Brampton will showcase the passion, diversity and community spirit that continues to make the city a growing force in Canadian soccer.

Residents and visitors of all ages are invited to participate in free celebrations featuring live match screenings, soccer-inspired programming, fan experiences and community activities throughout Garden Square.

Festivals, events and entertainment all summer long

Throughout the summer season, residents and visitors can enjoy outdoor movie nights, farmers’ markets, patio performances, live music, community events and a variety of heritage and cultural festivals that reflect Brampton’s diverse community.

Sports fans can also look forward to major events and activities throughout the summer, including cricket tournaments, community sports festivals and Hockey Night in Brampton on August 19.

​Explore parks, recreation and outdoor fun

Residents looking to stay active this summer can take advantage of Brampton’s extensive outdoor amenities, recreation programs and free community activities.

Across the city, residents can cool off at splash pads and outdoor water amenities, explore parks and recreational trails, enjoy outdoor sports fields and take part in recreation programs for all ages. Popular summer destinations including Chinguacousy Park, Professor’s Lake and Peel Village Golf Course will once again welcome residents throughout the season, alongside summer camps, free drop-in activities and youth-focused recreation programming.

Professor’s Lake is preparing for another exciting summer season, with the beach, boat house and inflatable water park expected to reopen in late June, pending seasonal conditions. Updated reopening information will be available in the coming weeks at brampton.ca/professorslake.

Eldorado Park Pool and picnic areas will be available at the end of June, and towards the end of the month the Chinguacousy Park Wading Pool and several additional park amenities will be open seven days a week for the summer season. More information on opening can be found at brampton.ca/summerfun
