BRAMPTON, ON – The City of Brampton is joining communities across Ontario in celebrating School Crossing Guard Appreciation Week from June 2 to 6, 2025. Led by the Ontario Traffic Council (OTC), this annual initiative recognizes the outstanding efforts of crossing guards who help students travel to and from school safely each day.

To honour these everyday heroes, the OTC’s School Crossing Programs Committee hosted a province-wide student drawing contest. From 328 submissions across 79 schools, six winning designs were selected to be featured on official thank-you cards, including from Oakville, Thunder Bay and Markham. This year, a student from Brampton’s Khalsa Community School was among the winners.
