Gael Miles brings 30 years of municipal public service and extensive experience representing the Brampton community. First elected to Brampton City Council in 1988, she became a Regional Councillor for Wards 7 and 8 in 1991 and served until her retirement from municipal politics in 2018.
Throughout her time on Council, Miles advocated for safe, healthy and connected communities, supporting initiatives focused on strong neighbourhoods, community involvement and quality of life. Her leadership contributed to Brampton’s recognition as a Safe City and Flower City and supported broader efforts to strengthen civic pride and community well-being.
Miles was also instrumental in establishing Wellspring Chinguacousy, a community-based cancer support centre providing free programs and services to individuals and families affected by cancer.
