Building Additions, New Homes and Replacement Dwellings and Detached Garages in the Mature Neighbourhood Areas

Brampton’s older mature neighbourhoods have developed with unique characteristics and identities that continue to attract residents. As they evolve and change, it has become increasingly important to preserve and enhance these unique identities – in other words, to manage change.

City Council has introduced additional standards to ensure that proposed single dwelling additions, replacements or new dwellings of 50 square metres or greater and detached garages (of any size) within the Mature Neighbourhood areas are compatible with the existing character of the surrounding area.
