Renovations start July 24 on improvements to City Hall’s front entrance (facing Main Street).  The main doors are being replaced to enhance accessibility. Tactile pavers are also being installed on the stairs and ramp to assist the visually impaired. Completion is anticipated in October 2017.

A portion of the entrance will remain open at all times, so people will be able to enter and exit the building throughout the construction period. Wheelchair access will also be preserved. For your convenience while construction is underway, visitors are encouraged to use the Conservatory entrance, which faces Queen Street.  The 24-hour lobby on Main Street (pedestrian entrance to the City Hall parking garage) will also remain open as the closest accessible entrance.
Hoarding will be erected around the construction zone to protect the safety of passersby. The City will make every effort to ensure that the work will cause minimal disturbance.
