Announcements
On May 15, 2013, the Nelson Square parking garage at 5 Diplock Lane made the transition to a state-of-the-art automated system.
The Nelson Square Garage is now segregated into
2 distinct areas, each with a separate access. The west side of the garage has 40 parking spaces for hourly parkers who will take a ticket to enter the garage. There is a new pay-on-foot machine located on the ground parking level adjacent to the south stairwell for patrons to pay for parking.
Click here for details on methods of payment on the west side of the garage.
The existing access on the east side of the garage is for parking permit holders only. Permit holders will use an electronic transponder to automatically open the gate when entering or exiting the garage. For further inquiries, contact Municipal Parking Operations at 905-874-2500.
The Rose Theatre has scheduled special events throughout the year which will impact permit holders with transponders parking at Market Square Parking Garage. These parking patrons may experience delays and if the garage is at full capacity, parking at Market Square Parking Garage will not be available. In this overflow situation, the parking attendant will send these parking patrons to the other facilities at City Hall or Nelson Square parking garages. The parking patrons who regularly park at Market Square Garage may go to the Information Kiosk, 1st floor, City Hall to obtain a stamped validation ticket for parking at City Hall or Nelson Square Garages.
Rose Theatre has scheduled special events on May 17, 20 and 30.
