City of Brampton Traffic By-Law 93-93, Section 42(1) states that no vehicle may be parked on any portion of a sidewalk in a manner that would obstruct the sidewalk. Vehicles parked in this manner can impede strollers, wheelchairs and pedestrians, as well as posing a danger to those using the sidewalk.
Also, Section 42(6) stipulates that no vehicle shall be parked in a manner as to obstruct traffic, therefore, it would be a violation of the by-law to have your vehicle overhang onto the roadway.
If necessary, you may consider parking your vehicle parallel to the curb on the paved portion of the boulevard. If you consider this option, you must ensure that your vehicle does not encroach the road or sidewalk.
