• Recognition will be given to an individual, or individuals, who voluntarily risked their own life/lives while performing a heroic act to save the life of another person.
• A resident of Brampton must have performed the heroic act, or an individual from another municipality must have performed the act within the City of Brampton.

Eligibility​

• The Citizen Awards team will connect with Brampton Fire & Emergency Services Department, Peel Regional Police and Peel Paramedics and ask if they have any nominations.
• The nominees will be reviewed and recommended by staff from the Brampton Fire & Emergency Services Department, Peel Regional Police and Peel Paramedics, as appropriate.
• The nominee must be a resident of Brampton, or have performed the act within the City of Brampton.
• The act must have taken place within the calendar year prior to the end of the nomination window.
• Individuals that have received any Citizen Award in the past four (4) years are not eligible.
