Our female firefighters our national champions!
In September of 2011 three members of our department traveled to Medicine Hat, Alberta and competed in the National Scott FireFit Championship where they took first place in the National Women’s Relay event. Mandy Gould, Chantelle Cosgrove and Shelly Bertrand took gold with a time of 1:49.01. Also, Mandy won the Women’s Individual National Championship with a time of 2:23.25. We at Brampton Fire and Emergency Services are proud of our women’s team accomplishments and are continuing our department’s tradition of winning the FireFit competitions.

We thank the people of Brampton for their generosity for Muscular Dystrophy.
In November of 2011 the Brampton Professional Firefighters Association were presented with the Danielle Campo Extra Mile Award in recognition of their efforts in raising funds for Muscular Dystrophy research. In total, the BPFAA were able to raise more than $29,000.
