Neighbourhood Initiatives Granting Stream
The heart and essence of Brampton are our neighbourhoods and communities. Since residents often know just what is needed to enhance the quality of life in their neighbourhoods, the Neighbourhood Initiatives (NI) Stream has been developed to inspire Brampton residents to actively champion small but powerful ideas, projects and activities in our community to improve, build and strengthen Brampton and enhance the quality of life for everyone.
This stream supports projects, through a matching grant of up to $1000, that inspire residents to become more socially responsible and actively involved, engage people in arts and culture opportunities, increase residents’ well-being and personal safety, support active living and health and wellness in the community, improve public spaces, and more. Please contact us if you are unsure if your project is eligible for funding.
The Neighbourhood Initiatives Stream Guidelines explain the goals and objectives of this funding stream and the criteria that will be used to evaluate the applications. View the Neighbourhood Initiatives Stream 2019 Guidelines here
The program's Handbook provides information about funding streams, eligibility, and the application and review process. View the 2019 Community Grant Program Handbook here
